HELPFUL HINTS FOR FINANCING ORTHODONTIC CARE

  • Plan ahead by bringing your child to the orthodontist for an early check-up. Orthodontists can often tell that a child will need treatment years in advance, which can help you prepare.
  • If your dental insurance doesn’t cover orthodontic treatment, you can purchase a supplemental orthodontic insurance plan.
  • If your orthodontic care isn’t covered by insurance, it can be tax deductible.
  • You can set aside savings for orthodontic treatment in a pretax flexible spending account, health savings account, health reimbursement account, or medical savings account.
